Frequently Asked Questions continued

 Civil Partnerships

Q

Can a Civil Celebrant register a Civil Partnership

No. A Civil Partnership is legally registered once you and your partner have signed the civil

partnership schedule in front of two witnesses and the Registrar. Some Local Authorities

will arrange a ceremony but there is no requirement for them to do this.

As no words need be exchanged during the registration we can create a unique Ceremony  for you to celebrate your union. The exchange of vows, giving of rings, readings, poems

and music of your choice can all be included.

Renewal of Vows

Q

Q

We would like a celebration for our Golden Wedding Anniversary to include the renewal

of our vows - is it possible for this to be in our garden?

Absolutely - you can have your Ceremony where ever you wish.

We are not married but have been together for 15 years and have two children. Could

we have a ceremony to celebrate this?

We could design a lovely Ceremony in which you can affirm your love for each other and

 your children.

Baby Naming

Q

Q

Can we have a ceremony to celebrate the birth of our baby if we do not go to church

and where could it be held?

Yes. You can have a Ceremony with as much or as little spiritual content or no spiritual

content at all. Friends or family members can be chosen as Guiding Adults and make

promises to your baby. Siblings and Grandparents can have a special role too.

There is no restriction on when and where the Ceremony can take place, so the choice

 is yours.

If we have a naming ceremony will we be able to have a certificate with our babys name

 on it?

You will receive a commemorative certificate with the baby's name and date of the

Ceremony which is signed by the parents, guiding adults and the Celebrant.
